If you give one of our wood fired grills a home you are OK in our book. Photos of your grill in action, your custom installation or any other Grillworks-related scenes are not only a valuable resource for our shop but provide fresh ideas to future owners. Forgive us for mixing in notable events, favorite food shots and honors we've received.

Portland, Oregon Sustainable Apartment Complex The developer decided our natural wood grills were a better fit with their green mission than either gas or charcoal. Stainless steel and no plumbing or electrical means these Grillery Standards will never be a headache for the complex. We'll forgive them the Traeger in the center.	Installed Grillworks 42 This Grillworks 42 was shipped ready for install in this customer's cutout. We have PDF files with all body dimensions that can be provided for projects such as this one. Also, if this customer ever moves he can take the grill with him as no fasteners are required and legs can be added later.	Architectural 48 "in-wall" Installation This Architectural 48 has just been installed in a customer's poolside brick enclosure, housed in a wall connecting to the pool house. Note the optional wall-mounted fire cage, a traditional element used to make charcoal in South America. The crankwheel can be overhead center, overhead left or right or emerging from the side of your masonry.
An enclosed Grillworks Dual 54 This customer had a genuine Argentine grill come apart on him so he called us to provide the ultimate replacement. We shipped this Dual 54 Asador with a kit to place the crankwheels outside of the enclosure.	A Grillworks Centerpiece We talk endlessly about the social magic of fire. Here it is perfectly captured. Much of America has forgotten the atmosphere a simple wood flame can foster; one that is lost as soon as a lid is closed over it. Put another log on.	42 Asador in Aspen Jennifer Jasinski of Denver's Rioja Restaurant grilled lamb all day on this Asador at the 2010 Food and Wine Classic in Aspen. Ten top chefs then competed to win a new one, with David Varley of DC's Bourbon Steak taking home the prize.
The Fireplacer at Work The Fireplacer is one of our newest creations, designed to bring Grillery cooking into a wood fireplace. This one is installed in a large stone fireplace and is used during the very snowy winters up north. When not in use the crankwheel and surface lift out and hook onto an included stand for storage.	US Army Special Forces Certificate We ship specially designed Forward Operating Base grills to units deployed in hot zones. The first soldier we sent grills to is now home and dropped off this moving thanks from his unit. We have since sent more grills to units in Iraq and continue to do our best to provide a hint of home to our guys in harms way.	Grillery Axle Use Here can be seen how to use the grill axle to cook foods at new angles. Use it to grill thick steaks on the bone edge, or to free up space at the back as is being done here. These are wether legs (baby goat). Traditional fare in Argentina, this customer threw a party where a local chef demonstrated just what most goat-neglected Americans are missing.
Architectural in an Open Floorplan Featured in Dwell, this west coast project placed the Architectural in a central fireplace, open for people to gather around when in use. The space is also used as a regular fireplace by lowering the lift frame to the base and removing the grill surfaces.	The Dual 54 featured on Iron Chef America Iron Chef America selected the Grillworks Dual 54 for their tailgate throwdown. This model's size and two independent stations gave both Chef and Sous Chef plenty of places to cook and methods to try. They grilled on the surfaces, used the coal beds, placed pots above on the axle, you name it. Here Iron Chef Morimoto grills under Alton Brown's watchful eye(and camera).	A Genuine Argentine Asado We rushed this one to an Argentinean as a surprise gift from a close friend. Apparently she regularly lamented not being able to grill like she did at home. Well, her friend and his friends at Grillworks fixed that. Her lineage shows in her skills at the classic mixed grill. Everybody wins.
Architectural in the Kitchen Not every Grillworks Architectural is huge. This one lives in a newly redone Brooklyn kitchen, bringing both wood fire cooking and a cozy atmosphere to the space. We can design for nearly any idea.	Letter from General Pace A great honor for our shop. There are a lot of little companies like ours out there. It is gratifying that the powers-that-be know that we're here to help.	Freestanding Grillworks 36 Island This Orange County installation shows how cleanly a freestanding Grillworks grill can be incorporated into a cutout. These models offer ultimate future flexibility if you want to grill now, then build out an integrated patio later. Just remove the legs and place her. Finishing trim pieces can be provided on request, contact us when you order.
Grillworks 42 Asador with HD Rotisserie Option When you choose the HD rotisserie option for the Grillworks 42 Aador we raise the lift system and add two fixed shaft heights to the lift rails. The result is a grill that can do large-format rotisserie along with classic Grillworks Argentine cooking. This grill was the first to go out the door with the option.	Rowhouse Architectural This grill was installed with a new chimney onto the back of a Washington DC rowhouse, using matching brick located by the architect. This one has the optional steel fire grates standing on the hearth.	Rotisserie on the Today Show The Today Show and Bon Appetit did a grill run-down, bargain to ultimate, where they did a good job displaying a 42's simultaneous rotisserie and surface cooking on-set. You can guess who was ultimate.
Tertulia Grill Detail, Greenwich Village NYC We built this grill for Seamus Mullen, and it is the first equipped with a REAR-mounted fire cage. Charcoal is pulled forward as it drops out, while baskets and pans are placed over the flame for quick sears and touches of smoke. Click to see the full indoor enclosure.	Bobby Flay Uses a Plancha, Food Network Bobby Flay demonstrates the use of a plancha, or cast iron plate, on the Grillworks 42. Planchas are placed on the grill surface to grill small or soft items like the traditional Argentine provolone cheese pictured(click to magnify). Larger pans can be placed similarly for dishes like paella. Catch this episode of Barbecue Addiction(Argentina on the Grill) and several others that use our grill on the Food Network.	Poste Brasserie, Hotel Monaco Chef Robert Weland called us to build a 42 Asador for the Poste Brasserie outdoor garden. Every week they host a Poste Roast, grilling local-raised pork, poultry or lamb in the middle of his on-site organic garden - in downtown DC.
Infierno in Action, Blue Hill at Stone Barns The Infierno is our large-format flagship. Her unique central fire station offers charcoal production for two grilling stations, a searing platform and superheated bricks for hearth baking. This one was built for Dan Barber - here one of his chefs persuades new coals out of the fire cage.	Architectural 48 with fire Cage This Texas customer installed his Architectural 48 complete with the traditional fire cage, or brasero, in his new outdoor cooking Mecca. Just about every technique is covered here, and we suspect it doesn't stay this clean long.	Dual Architectural 48 at OX, Portland Greg Denton chose our Dual Architectural 48 to anchor his Argentine-centered restaurant in Portland, Oregon. Installed open, the grill serves both as a culinary and visual focal point for the place. His has our rear-mounted Infierno fire cage producing fresh charcoal for the two independently-controlled grill surfaces.
